Ownership
Buying a car from Ron Tonkin Acura means getting to keep the vehicle for as long as you’d like.
You do not own the vehicle. Once your lease term is over, you can either return the vehicle or buy it.
Future Value
Over time, your vehicle will start to depreciate in value. Your car will be worth whatever you can sell it for in the future.
The future value of your lease will not affect you financially.
Mileage
Owning your Acura means that you don’t have a limit on how many miles you drive.
You will have a limit on the amount of miles you can drive, usually around 15,000 miles. Additional fees occur if you go over the limit.
Customization
You are free to modify or customize the vehicle as you’d like.
The vehicle must be returned in like-new condition. Any customizations, if not removed, will result in additional fees.
End of Term
At the end of your loan term (usually around 4-5 years), you no longer have payments and the vehicle is 100% yours.
At the end of the lease (typically 2-4 years), you can either choose to return your vehicle or pay the remaining cost to own it.
Maintenance
Once your warranty is over, you will be responsible for repairs to your vehicle.
When leasing, your car is always under warranty. Any repairs not due to accident, abuse, or normal wear and tear will be covered.
