A dual-scroll turbo V-6 engine delivers an estimated 355-HP116 and 354 lb-ft116 of highly responsive torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via rear-biased Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) for blistering acceleration and confident handling.

Designed at its core for extreme performance, the new ultra-rigid chassis, double wishbone front suspension, and Adaptive Damper System of the 2021 TLX Type S allow for precision control of its immense power. Calibrate the reflexes of the Type S to your exact preference for any road with the Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) drive modes, including an exclusive Sport+ mode for true thrill seekers.
Sculpted For Speed
The athletic styling of the TLX evolves even further with the Type S. The front splitter, rear diffuser, and decklid spoiler help direct airflow for maximum aero efficiency. Large quad exhaust outlets harken back to the 2007-2008 TL Type S while exclusive 20-inch wheels wrapped in performance tires paired with Brembo® front brake calipers help keep you glued to the road.

The tailored interior of the 2021 TLX Type S is the culmination of Precision Crafted Performance®.
